The Secret to Never Feeling Alone

Have you ever gone through times where you have felt inner loneliness or just a void in your heart? I have felt this way many times, and I would like to tell you my secret to stop feeling that way.

One time I was feeling this loneliness and decided I needed to just get alone with God. During my time alone with Him, I felt Him telling me the reason why I was feeling alone was because He wanted me to spend time with him. He knew I needed that time spent with Him. He wanted me to put away my phone and walk away from other things that may distract me from being able to just sit and listen to Him. And I did just that. With my obedience and spending time alone with Him, He took away that loneliness and that void and filled it with His presence and peace. He comes in with His presence and takes away loneliness. He cares for us so much that He wants us to spend time with Him. He wants to be able to speak to us and us listen while He speaks. 

There are so many distractions in the world today, and if I told you that I have never been distracted, that would be a lie. We have our phones, social media, the television, work, relationships, and all the other many things that that may distract us, but it's time we put away those distractions, and get alone with God; to worship Him, to thank Him for His goodness, to ask Him for His help in time of need. Life can be so crazy, painful, confusing, and it can sometimes feel lonely....But God. He knows the struggles we go through and He wants to be able to help us. He is always there when you need someone to run to, even when you feel as though there is no one you can lean on. He is there, He is here. He takes away all the hurt and confusion once you run to Him. He gives peace that passes understanding and gives you joy. 

• "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." Psalms 46:1 
• He is always here and He says: "I will never leave you nor forsake you." Hebrews 13:5

So if you ever feel alone, go find a quiet place(for me, I love to be outside looking at His wonderful creations) and spend time with Him, and I can promise you, He will take that lonely feeling alway and He will fill that void with His joy and His peace that passes all understanding. He loves you so much, and He wants to spend time with you! The God of the universe wants to spend time with YOU!
